Log in to www.prodigygame.com/play with the credentials that I gave you in class and practice. Here's how you're going to get graded each week.

  • Play Four (4) to Seven (7) Days with 10 Battles per day to get an "O"

  • Play Three (3) days minimum with 10 Battles per day to get an "S"

  • Anything less than three (3) days and less than 10 Battles per day will result in a lower grade

  • Not logging in and practicing will result in a Zero (0)


Bonus Points for anyone who practices Five (5) Days with 10 Battles over the Christmas Break


Also - students need to bring in a one (1) subject notebook to class every week.

  • write your username and password for both your email, prodigy, and any other school program that you use.

  • use the pages as a doodle notebook where you can

    • write out the problems from prodigy as scrap paper

    • design and create ideas for the makerspace

    • brainstorm

Adding Fractions with like Denominators

14 + 14= 12 = 0.5

  1. Add: 14 + 14 = 14 + 1 + 14 = 24= 12

  2. The common denominator you can calculate as the least common multiple of the both denominators - LCM(4, 4) = 4

Subtracting Fractions with like Denominators

98- 68 = 38= 0.375

  1. Subtract: 98- 68 = 9 - 68 = 38

  2. The common denominator you can calculate as the least common multiple of the both denominators - LCM(8, 8) = 8

Subtracting Fractions with different Denominators

6224 - 54= 43 = 113 ≅ 1.333333

  1. Subtract: 6224 - 54 =6224 - 5 x 64 x 6= 6224 - 3024 = 62 - 3024 = 3224= 43

  2. The common denominator you can calculate as the least common multiple of the both denominators - LCM(24, 4) = 24

Adding Fractions with different Denominators

412 + 112 = 512 ≅ 0.4166667

  1. Add: 412 + 112 = 4 = 112 = 512

  2. The common denominator you can calculate as the least common multiple of the both denominators - LCM(12, 12) = 12

Dividing Fractions with different Denominators

13 / 25 = 56 ≅ 0.8333333

  1. Divide: 13 / 25 = 13 / 52 = 1 x 53 x 2 = 56

  2. To divide one fraction by another, invert (turn upside-down) the second fraction, then multiply.

Adding Fractions with different Denominators

62 + 43 = 133 = 413 ≅ 4.333333

  1. Add: 62 + 43 = 6 x 32 x 3 + 4 x 23 x 2 = 186 + 86 = 18 + 86 = 266 = 133

  2. The common denominator you can calculate as the least common multiple of the both denominators - LCM(2, 3) = 6

Multiplying Fractions with different Denominators

34 x 63 = 32 = 112 = 1.5

  1. Multiple: 34 x 63 = 3 x 64 x 3 = 1812 = 32

  2. Multiply both numerators and denominators. Result fraction keep to lowest possible denominator GCD(18, 12) = 6
